North London Branch

I've had a fair few ups and downs in training - predictably succumbing to an ankle injury that meant I was unable to run for most of April. But after getting through a final long run without too many problems last Sunday the starting line is now in sight.. even if the finishing line is not!

This charity is really important to me - my Uncle Bruce lived with MND for four years before passing away in 2006 and my Dad was a massive supporter (running the London Marathon for MNDA in 2003) - so please dig deep and donate what you can.”

The North London Branch would like to thank Charlie for his amazing efforts.

Anyone who still wishes to donate should visit Charlie’s Just Giving site (www.justgiving.com/charliethomson/).

On May 22, 2011, Charlie Thomson ran the Edinburgh Marathon, raising almost £2,500 for the North London Branch. Shortly before the day, Charlie wrote on his Just Giving website:

“After taking inspiration from my housemate (Naeman) and colleague (Adam 'the marathon man' Craig), I decided to run a marathon about four months ago. Too  late to enter the London Marathon, I looked up the next available event and entered.
